We are a family owned, hands-on business. We are small and we like it that way! We offer a warm & welcoming space where our staff strive to create an inviting dining experience for our guests. Because of our size, we can customize our menu to offer the best of the season. We shop locally & regionally for ingredients at the peak of quality and flavor. We are passionate about what we do here at Harbor House Grille and look forward to sharing that passion with you!
Eco – community Statement
Growing up in Grand Marais, we recognize it as a special place and do all that we can to preserve its beauty. We reduce our use of petroleum based products whenever possible. We recycle and compost as much as possible. We collect rainwater and use it to water our gardens, where we grow many of the herbs we use in the dishes on our menus. We invested in our building making many improvements to make it energy efficient and decrease our carbon footprint. We invest in our community by actively supporting many local efforts. We invest in our people by providing a caring and warm environment to share our real food, served by real people to create real connections. Come join our table!
Harbor House Grille is a small restaurant, with limited seating. We will no longer be able to accommodate reservations. Our service will be first come, first serve.
Separate checks can be accommodated, however, please understand much more time is required to process each guest check and separate payment. Reducing the number of checks as much as possible, is appreciated.
We do allow guests to bring in their own wine with the exception of any wines on our wine list. There is a corkage fee of $20 per bottle.
Guests with food allergies or dietary restrictions should inform their server at the beginning of the meal, prior to ordering. Please discuss these allergies or restrictions with your server in detail so your meal may be adjusted, if needed. Any adjustments may incur a charge, to be determined by the chef or manager.
Any prepared foods brought into Harbor House Grille will incur a $5 per plate charge.
All parties of 8 or more will have an automatic gratuity of 20% added to the final bill.
